100 Women x 1Hour x  $100 = $10,000 local impact

Here’s how it works:

  •       We get together four times a year to nominate worthy local charities;

  •       Any member of the group can nominate a local charity;

  •       Three nominations are randomly chosen and after a short presentation by                  the nominating member, the group votes on which charity to support;

  •       Everyone makes a $100 tax-deductible donation through the Grapevine Link on the website to the nominated charity

  • We meet quarterly in Januay, April, July and October (dates will be posted on this site) with check-in/registration/social time from 5:30-6:30 PM. Meeting locations will be posted on this site. The meeting will begin promptly at 6:30 PM and end at 7:30 PM.

  • At each meeting nonprofit organizations are nominated by MEMBERS of 100 WWC (learn how to become a member). Only local organizations with 501(c)3 (tax deductible) status are nominated. Three organizations are then chosen at random and each of the three nominating MEMBERS are then allowed 5 minutes to present information about the organization she has nominated and explain why she believes it is worthy of our donations.

  • By secret ballot, each MEMBER votes for the organization that she believes should receive the collective donations. Ballots are counted and plurality rules.

  • Each member pledges to donate via the Grapevine link (or by check if accessing Grapevine is not possible) in the amount of $100 to the chosen organization. ALL MEMBERS, including those not in attendance, are expected to make the $100 donation.

  • When all donations are in (sometimes a few weeks after the meeting), members of 100 WWC present a symbolic check to the director of the chosen organization. Actual monetary donations are handled through Grapevine directly to the awarded organization. Those directors must agree not to share names or other information about the women of 100 WWC.

  • Grapevine will provide a receipt to each member for your contribution for tax purposes.
